QBS, specialist distributor of enterprise software delivery platforms for the B2B and B2C markets, has acquired German distributor Compuwave in a deal set to broaden both companies\u2019 European reach as well as coverage of innovative \u2018non-standard\u2019 software.<\/p>\n
Dave Stevinson [pictured<\/span>], CEO of QBS Technology Group<\/a>, said Compuwave represented \u201canother exceptionally high-quality addition to our European network\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cCompuwave represented a most compelling opportunity to acquire a fast growing and highly focused business with a strong management team,\u201d Stevinson said.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is our third acquisition since the outbreak of Covid-19 in March.\u201d<\/p>\n Compuwave, which has 35 staff across offices in Munich and Berlin, reported turnover of \u20ac30m in 2018. It has more than 1600 active resellers \u2013 including major corporate resellers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, cloud services providers and systems integrators \u2013 on its books. <\/p>\n The 13-year-old company offers solutions from 3800 software publishers, including Progress, JetBrains, Teamviewer and Techsmith.<\/p>\n Oliver Schnapka, joint CEO of Compuwave<\/a>, said QBS and Compuwave shared a vision for growth as well as a history of investing in the future. <\/p>\n \u201cThe acquisition confirms our business strategy and enables us to further accelerate our profitable growth both in the DACH region and across Europe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Stevinson indicated that QBS expects to support Compuwave\u2019s targeted growth trajectory and expansion plans via QBS\u2019s latest delivery platform release. Compuwave customers will benefit from exposure to a broader range of customers through the platform.<\/p>\n
